Oscar Chic received B.S. degree in Physics from Universitat of Barcelona (Spain) in 1990 and M.Sc in Remote Sensing and GIS in 1995 (IEEC). He heads the Coastal Ocean Observatory of ICM-CSIC based on Barcelona that consists of a meteo station, a current and wave profiler, a satellite receiving station and a video monitoring system.His research interests include develop tools to allow easy analisys, visualization and distribution of scientific data, data management, develop new algorithms to process remote sensing data.
